Originally the Hawaiian massage was a mixture of ritual, dance and physical work and was carried out by the wise high priests, the "Kahunas". Nowadays you are kneaded, dandled and shaked smoothly by 2 therapists at the same time. In doing so they dance, similar to the Hula (Hawaiian ritual dance), around the massage table.
